Tale Twister

One of the fun things we do at our club meetings is to assess fines for many different items. These are typically $1 fine (strictly voluntary) that go toward our scholarship fund. Here are some of the things that members can get fined for:

  • Being famous - featured in the newspaper, other publications or social media posting

  • Forgetting to wear club badge

  • Wearing a hat in the meeting

  • Birthday or anniversary

  • Saying "banned" words - members learn about these during the meetings!

  • Not wearing your "I Voted" sticker after an election

  • Getting a phone call during the meeting

  • And sometimes just whatever our Tale Twister wants to fine someone for when it's a slow news day!
